First Playing Test of 2013-2014

We will video playing tests in class the week of August 26. Results will be used for initial seating and for dividing the violins into Violin I and Violin II parts (violins may be rotated between sections during the year). Please prepare the excerpts for your instrument listed below.

The second 4 lines are from “Agincourt” by Spata. (Remember we crossed out the bottom line on the sheet.) 7/8 time, 8th note=about 180-210 for this test (this is about the speed we read it in class).

Holst Intermezzo, rehearsal (2) to (3) (2/4, quarter note= 90)
